'My love of all things brows started with the hatred of my own. It was my search for the perfect brows that inspired me to create Browology!'

After the over-plucked brows from the early 2000’s were no longer fashionable, brow pencil became my best friend.  Getting the colour to match was impossible as there was only a choice of black, dark brown or light brown.  I must have tried every new brow product that were released over the years.  Holidays were a nightmare, too scared to go in the pool with drawn on eyebrows or the fear of going browless.  I took the leap to get permanent brows in the mid-2000's, which was very different to the permanent make up available today. Mapping of the brows before the procedure didn't exist, I pencilled them on and the artist tattooed over my drawing.  When they were completed it was a dream come true, finally I didn't have to draw them on every day.  The dream didn't last long, after a couple of years my lovely brown brows turned red. Fortunately after many years the red finally disappeared, but going makeup free was a thing of the past and I was back to pencilling my brows on again, until I discovered microblading.

I spent months researching local artists before going ahead.  I was over the moon with my new brows with crisp hair strokes, I couldn't stop looking at them!  My microbladed brows didn't stop me looking at brows on Instagram, I was still obsessed.  So, I bought some latex, microblades, and followed Youtube tutorials.  I absolutely loved it!

I learned so much from Youtube and Instagram I knew I wanted to take the plunge to gain my qualification.  There are so many courses out there and I wanted to choose the best one for me.  Some courses give you a qualification after 2 days with no practice on real people, this horrified me as I knew it was impossible to learn such a complex art in this time frame.  Eventually I found the right instructor, I started my training at an academy in Liverpool and I completed my final assessments which were over 5 days and Browology was born!

Since having my own microblading done I have realised, I didn’t ask any of the right questions. I based my decision by looking at the immediate results shown on Instagram.  I love my brows, but have no idea what equipment and pigments were used in my procedure or what was in my aftercare.  I rushed back for a colour boost after 6 months which I now know I didn't need as my brows weren't faded sufficiently.

I have spent hundreds of hours on further education since my initial training course.  Focusing advanced brow mapping, pigmentology, skin science, and colour theory to make sure I have the best knowledge, equipment and products on the market so I achieve the very best results for you. I will make it my priority to explain the process, different techniques and make recommendations that are tailored to you.

If you are reading this you must have your own brow story.  I can't wait to meet you so you can tell me your story and I can help you achieve your perfect brows!

Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that enhances the appearance of eyebrows. The technique involves using a specialised hand tool with tiny needles to scratch pigment into the skin in fine, short strokes that mimic the look of natural hair.

Ombre powder brows involve a semi-permanent makeup technique that utilises a digital machine to implant small dots of pigment into the skin. This method produces a softer, shaded appearance, as opposed to the defined hair strokes that are typically associated with microblading.

This innovative technique combines the artistry of microblading with the precision of machine shading. The process begins with the creation of hair-like strokes from the beginning to the middle of the brow, resulting in a natural appearance. The technique then transitions to a powder/ombre effect on the body and tail of the brow, providing additional fullness and density.
